Literacy Buffalo Niagara is the only non-profit in WNY that provides one-on-one basic literacy and ESL tutoring to adults in need. Though we are dedicated to our mission, we cannot do it alone – we need your help! For just one night, October 19th, we want you to commit to supporting literacy in our community.

Proceeds from the evening will directly benefit the future of Literacy Buffalo Niagara.

This year’s event will feature:

– Live music by the talented musicians of Buffalo String Works.

– Literacy Leads Awards
We’re giving a big shout-out to our champions for literacy, Rev. Craig D. Pridgen and Erie County Legislator Jeanne Vinal!

– Children’s Book Drive
We are collecting new or gently used children’s books which will be disbursed in little free libraries around the City of Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Please bring books to the event, where they will be collected in donation bins. Every book you donate brings us one step closer to a more literate community.

– Literacy Lottery
For each $20 donation, you get to choose an envelope — each contains a random prize of $20 or more. We have gift cards, autographed sports memorabilia, tickets to local events, donated items from local businesses and artists, and more. You never know what you might win!
