Join us for SCRABBLE Fest 2010
Literacy Volunteers is hosting
fifth annual SCRABBLE Fest Event
Plan a Game Night this winter with your friends & family – all for a good cause!
Tile bags will be shaking all through Western New York during February as friends of Literacy Volunteers participate in the third annual Scrabble Fest Tournament. It’s easy to join in the fun. You can either host a party at your house, or find a party near you to attend.
Here's How It Works:
After you decide to become a SCRABBLE Fest party host, you work with Literacy Volunteers to determine a date and an entry fee. We provide you with a host packet containing postcard invitations that can be mailed to your guests.
- Parties can be held anytime from now through March 1, 2010.
- Party styles can be anything from dinner events to chips and drinks.
- Hosts invite as many people as they are able to accommodate.
- Each party will determine one winner who will be invited to participate in one final
SCRABBLE Party on March 7, 2010.
Public Parties:
Friday, February 5, 2010- Savvy Gourmet- 4610 Main Street, Amherst, NY 14226
Wine Discussion begins at 6:30 pm and the Scrabble Fest begins at 8:00 pm sharp
The full Savvy treatment includes:
- A Wine discussion featuring our Savvy Wine Goddess Trish.
- Sample pours of the three different, carefully selected wines.
- Simple yet delicious, Tapas-like small plates of food.
- A game of Scrabble, boards supplied by the literacy volunteers
Tickets are $25 in advance online or $30 at the door.

Scrabble Fest at Campieri’s begins at 6:00 pm sharp.
There will be a cash bar and complementary pizza for Scrabble guests.
Admission is $15 at the door.

What better way to beat the winter blues and help out a good cause at the same time? All proceeds raised during SCRABBLE Fest 2010 will directly benefit the programs of Literacy Volunteers of Buffalo and Erie County.
